WELCOME

As we prepare to soon have meat available for purchase, I wanted to start this blog to familiarize you with the ease of cooking with bison meat. The goal of this blog is primarily to share recipes and cooking tips as I learn and experiment with our bison.

Let me start by telling you a little about myself. My name is Becky, I’m the "behind-the-scenes" manager of this partnership. This includes managing the website, taking photos, creating marketing material, ordering supplies, replying to your emails, running our future meat shop, and taking care of bison bottle babies, all while maintaining the household and keeping our three kids happy and healthy :) I’m a self-taught home cook with a desire to make quality, healthy and tasty food. I learn as I go mostly by trial and error and enjoy reading food related books or watching shows and short videos related to cooking to help inspire me in the kitchen. My goal is to prepare wholesome, nutritious and tasty food as a daily routine for my growing family.

I’m not a writer or a scholar but want to share my experiences in hopes that it will be helpful to you in your journey as you cook with our meat. Hopefully this blog will help you make fewer errors and give you confidence in your bison-preparing journey!

If you’ve been following our farm for a while you will have noticed our commitment to producing healthy, nutritious, and wholesome food. Our goal in producing bison is to raise quality animals that provide consumers with a premium source of protein while taking advantage of what our land has to offer and being mindful to regenerate the soil to preserve it for generations to come. We view ourselves as stewards of our land and animals.

Join this email list to be notified of new posts, I’ll be sharing a new post every few weeks!
